Aastha.

Picnics are an intrinsic part of childhood. Even when we grow up, we love picnics because they take us back to the carefree days of childhood. It is important, therefore, to store up as many joyful memories as possible when we have the chance. Unbelievable, but even the hardships – ant bites, sand in the sandwiches, the heat, the cold or interfering rain, hard treks, pebbles in the shoes - seem wonderful fun when recalled some years later.
We are lucky to live in a city and state that are full off picnic spots. One needs only to head out a couple of kilometres in any direction to find some wonderful place by a stream to picnic in. Of course, many of the popular sites have been spoiled by over exploitation, pollution, etc. Even so, nature remains ever so close in Uttarakhand and Doon. As young people we must learn to care for this great bounty and take the initiative to preserve it in its pristine beauty so that it can be enjoyed all our lives.
Next week we will discuss TV soaps, reality shows and cartoon channels. These have been much in the news, recently, and let’s hear your opinions, too.
Ciao,

FLOWERS

Dandelions are beautiful.
As beautiful as Rose,
Dandelions are beautiful ,
Which tickle on my nose.
The sweet song of the birdies ,
The pleasant summer sun,
That shine on the flowers ,
On which the dew drops run.
Sitting on the nearby hill,
I always wonder how,
How are the flowers so beautiful,
I always wonder how?
Rose and Jasmine and Marigold ,
These are beautiful flowers ,
In the world I just love one thing ,
Flowers , Flowers , Flowers.

Assan Barrage: my favourtie picnic spot

By Anjali Panwar, (IV)
John Martyn Memorial School
From our school, John Martyn, Classes fourth and fifth were taken to Assan Barrage in February 2009. There I saw different kinds of birds which had come from other cold countries like Russia. During the winter months, when it snows in the cold countries, the birds migrate to India. They live in Bharatpur, Sultanpur and Assan Barrage.
They make these bird sanctuaries their temporary home and go back in March. The birds were so beautiful and colourful. They were large ones like the cranes and small ones like the martins and terns. There were many different kinds of ducks and geese too.
We must care for these birds. We should not cut trees and let our lakes run dry. We should not throw garbage in the water as it harms the birds and kills them. We should look after places like Assan Barrage, the home of birds.

Friends
Thanks you God
For giving me
The best of all gifts
Of the wide world.
I was great in need.
Of a true friend
And you have given
This wonderful gift to me.
It’s always good
To have friends around
They are something
Just like you are.
Though the world is small.
The meaning is deep
When we lose a friend
We die a little…………….

Moment...

By Sagar,(XII-Sci), Doon Cambridge School
For a moment a feeling comes and go,
For a moment life paces and slows,
For a moment star falls and shines,
For a moment a bud blossoms and dies,
For a moment sun rises from east,
For a moment moon sets in the west,
For a moment eyes see a dream,
For a moment you become different from rest!
A moment its love,a moment its pain,
A moment its sun,a moment its rain,
A moment its laugh,a moment its tears,
A moment its full,a moment its clear,
A moment its glory,a moment its sad,
A moment its good,a moment its bad,
A moment its thrown,a moment its desired,
A moment its worshipped,a moment its fired!
Some moments are rememberable, some moments are forgettable,
Some moments are regrettable, some moments are indispensable,
Some moments stay,some wash away,
Some moments pray, some with your heart always play,
Some moments are happy, some moments are grieved,
Some moments are hidden, some moments are released,
Some moments lose,some moments gain,
Some moments achieve,some moments fail!
In a moment your smile shines like a pearl,
In a moment tears fill your eyes,
In a moment you are on the top of the world,
In a moment in coffin lies your life,
In a moment its everywhere your name,
In a moment its everywhere you are blamed,
In a moment you are in love and become insane,
In a moment heart breaks and you feel the pain!
Its all the game of a moment,
Its all the fame of a moment,
Its all in a moment that a moment makes a moment,
Life is one moment and death is another moment !!

MY BIRTHDAY

By Uday Singh, (V)
My birthday was on the 25th. On this day we decorate the house with streamers and balloons. I take sweets for all my school friends and everyone hugs me and plays with me. We have a party in the evening when a lot of friends and relatives come to wish me. I cut a cake. My father gave me Rs.100/- and my mother gave me Rs.150/- to buy whatever I want. I wait for my birthday eagerly every year.

TEEJ CELEBRATIONS

On teej day my mother’s hands look very pretty as she applies ‘mehndi’, wears new glass bangles and new clothes. When I return home from school, my mother serves me a tasty meal and gets ready to visit her mother. I too copy my mother and apply ‘mehndi’ on my hands. My mother tells me teej is a celebration in which women dress up in new saris and play on the swings.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

By Rahul Das, (V)
On 16th August is my sister’s daughter’s birthday. Her name is Tamanna and her nick name is Tani. She will be one year old. I want to gift her a small bicycle, maybe a red one as all babies like bright colours. We will have a merry party on her birthday. I will invite all my friends on that day as Tani does not have any friends as yet. We will blow up balloons and hang them up. Tani likes balloons. On the 16th we will also take her to Malsi Deer Park and show her the deer. I am very happy as Tani has started standing and will very soon walk with me.

A spiritual picnic………!

By Vimal kapoor
Word ‘picnic’ might have different connotation for different people, for children it is enjoyment at ‘amusement park’, relishing cool dip and digging into packed lunch at ‘Sehestradhara’, while for some it might be a day out at Mussoorie. Personally I have always relished going to ‘Rishikesh’, just an hour’s drive from Dehra Dun, it is what I fondly describe as ‘spiritual picnic’.
Rishikesh, one of the most tranquil place in our state Uttarakhand, surrounded by hills and bisected by the wide and majestic Ganges, is often claimed as the `Yoga Capital of the World'. Back in the 1960s Rishikesh gained instant fame as the site where The Beatles came to stay with their guru, the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. It is an excellent place to meditate and study yoga. Rishikesh is also a good for adventure sports lovers as white water rafting starting from here is extremely popular.
Rishikesh is also acquiring greater significance as a base for treks and hikes in the beautiful Garhwal Himalayas.Rishikesh is an ideal destination not only for week end travellers but also for those who want to delve deeper into meditation, Yoga and other aspects of Hinduism. For the adventurous, Rishikesh is the place for starting their trekking expeditions and excursions towards the Himalayan peaks. The International Yoga week, which attracts participation from all across the world, is held here every year on the bank of Ganga river
Spirituality and mystical charm have always drawn me and people from all over the world to this small but popular town, while coming back to Doon by ‘Shatabdi express" I have seen hoards of foreigners with back packs and holy Sanskrit books get down at ‘Haridwar’, while talking with them I discovered that usually they all head for ‘Rishikesh’ and some claim its their fifth or sixth visit. As Barry a tall traveller from Australia once told me that staying in Rishikesh for one week is like ‘taking bath from inside’! As the world becomes increasingly capitalistic and materialist, the quest and urgency for spirituality grows more and more. The traditional Indian way of life has helped in the evolution and growth of Spiritualism.
Even gorgeous ‘Kate Winslet" superstar from block buster movie ‘Titanic’ comes to Rishikesh frequently.
Numerous cultures and religions have thrived and flourished together for ages and resulted into the unique Indian way of life.
At different points in the history of our civilization numerous spiritual leaders and saints have delivered the message of peace, brotherhood and co existence that is so very well rooted in our culture. Arts like Yoga and Ayurveda coupled with religion have played an important role in the evolution and existence of spirituality in India. Through the ages, various Ashrams and centers of excellence came up in different parts of India. Indian spirituality is all about showing respect to all living beings-animals trees, rocks and even water and lead a positive and healthy life. It is believed that the supreme Creator has put each one of us in this world for a purpose and that purpose is to be compassionate, caring and loving to one-another, and many renowned gurus hold seminars and satsangs here. Grand old master of yoga B.K.S. Iyenger hails from Rishikesh, we Doonites are extremely lucky to be so close to this divine place, go enjoy a ‘mystical, spiritual picnic’ for a change!

On 5th August it will be rakshabandhan. I have two sisters and both of them buy me beautiful rakhis on that day. I enjoy wearing rachis and every year new ones come out in the market. I give my sisters Rs.50/- each. I love sweets and eat up most of the box of sweets by myself. I am given very smart and new clothes to wear. My mother cooks all my favourite dishes. Sometimes we even have other guests over who always give all of us moneyon that day. It is a happy, fun filled day for all of us.

My Picnic

John Martyn Memorial School
On Sunday I went to Rishikesh with my family for a picnic. I went on a motorbike with my cousin. The drive to Rishikesh is very beautiful. We are surrounded by green mountains and have to go through a forest.
When we reached we all had a bath in the Gangea River. Then we were hungry and sat on the banks of the river and had many delicious food items. We went to the Neelkanth Temple after buying Prasad to offer the God. It was very crowded there and so was Lakshman Jhulla. There were monkeys everywhere and people pushing everybody. It suddenly started raining so we quickly ran to my grandfather’s house for a little while. We had hot tea and my grandmother gave all of us money as a gift. On the way back I saw an enormous aero plane at Jolly Grant Airport. It was a fun filled day.

On the day of my birthday I always wake up very early as I am very excited. My sister wished me first with a big kiss and then my brother and parents. My most favourite dish in the world is carrot halwa. On this day my mother always makes it for me, even when she is very busy. I have this for breakfast and then go to school. I told my sister not to tell anyone about my birthday as I wanted to see who would remember it. Sadly only Neha remembered but not my best friend. Anyway I gave everyone toffees and had a lot of fun playing. Returning home I met my cousin who wished me and then my grand-father and grand-mother both gave me Rs. 20/- each to spend as I want. I always have a lot of fun on this day.

I like the way Rakshabandhan is celebrated in our country. This festival makes the love of sisters and brothers grow. On this day sisters tie ‘rakhi’ on their brothers’ wrists while praying for their long life. The brothers give their sisters money or gifts and promise to look after them. My mother makes tasty sweets for us to eat. I have one real brother and five cousin brothers. So I wait for this celebration to collect a lot of money from all of them !

This year holi was very special and full of fun. My friends and I made a plan to wet the boys from the other village. Silently and quietly we went to their place and hid near the water tank. When the children came out to play we wet them with buckets of coloured water and ‘pichkaris’. We also wet our aunts, uncles and other guests. They too threw water balloons on us. After a fun filled day it is quite tiring to take a bath. After wearing new clothes we visit our relatives and eat mouth watering sweets.

It is time to think, are we good enough to think?

As I sat down to write this article, I was in a state of turmoil, on what topic I should write. The very first topic that came to my mind was on global warming but along with the fact that there were campaign world wide which have not been able to do any good so far. Whether my little article would do any thing?
The main reason behind the rejection of topic of womb girl killing was that the government, the celebrities and other institutions are indulged in the national campaign to stop it, but there also it does not seem to be working. I wonder, will my piece of writing rise any awaking in the people?
Every day we deal with the problem of corruption in the daily routines in every public meeting the hot discussion is always on corruption, it seems that we want some one to deal with the problem, we always neglect doing it ourselves but think that some-one will come along and do the needful.
Reader may be thinking what the actual topic of the article is, but the fact is that are we good enough to select a topic to express our views so that it may cause a difference in thinking of the people. If yes, definitely next time my article will be focused on one point to deal with.

The Kargil War

By Ashima Chopra

Scholars’ home
The Kargil War, also known as the Kargil conflict, was an armed conflict between India and Pakistan that took place between May and July 1999 in the Kargil district of Kashmir. The cause of the war was the infiltration of Pakistani soldiers and Kashmiri militants into positions on the Indian side of the line of control (LOC), which serves as the de factor border between the two states. During and directly after the war, Pakistan blamed the fighting extremely on independent Kashmiri insurgents, but documents left behind by causalities and later statements by Pakistan’s Prime Minister and Chief of Army Staff showed involvement of Pakistani paramilitary forces, led by General Ashraf Rashid. The Indian Army later on supported by the Indian Air Force, attacked the Pakistani positions and, with international diplomatic support, eventually forced withdrawal of the Pakistani forces across the LOC. Examples of high altitude warfare in mountainous terrain which posed significant logistical problems for the combating sides. This was only the second direct ground war between any two countries after they had developed nuclear weapons, after the Sino-Soviet border conflict of 1969, it is also the most recent. India and Paskistan both test detonated fission devices in May 1998, though the first Indian nuclear test was conducted in 1971. The conflict led to heightened tension between the two nations and increased defense spending by India. In Pakistan, the aftermath caused instability of the government and the economy, and, on October 12, 1999, a coup d’ etat by the military placed army chief Pervez Musharraf in Power.

As we all know terrorism has become just a breaking news everyday. On 26th Nov 2008 we were attacked at the hotels Taj Oberoi and also the Nariman House. Before the 26/11 attack several blasts had taken place in Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, Allahbad, Varanasi etc . It has bees 6 months since the attack but still everyday we hear news reports about Kasab who was arrested as he was involved in the 26/11.
Why I’m telling about these attacks is because this is when our defense heroes sacrificed their lives for our protection Hemant Karkare, Ashok Kamte and many other officers sacrificed their lives for us.
Even the Armed and Naval forces require so much strength. They can’t even think of tomorrow-would they be alive or would they die in the war. I would say a big "Bravo" for them. "Jai Hind" to them. They are able to give protection because they are united but we people fight, we are sometimes too mean with our own country citizens diving ourselves into Hindus Muslims, Sikhs and Christians pores:- if Raj Thakre really had the feeling that only the Marathis should live in Mumbai then, where was he during the attack. The forces who protected Mumbai had every type of religion sect in them. Therefore, we learn a lesson that we should be united to make our nation better.

What do we understand by the word Defence?
- Is that all about money, fame, or something else?
- I, know its all about the love that one has for country, people, their mothers….and also the passion to do something for our mother India.
- We all are aware of the three forces Navy, Army and Airforce, one is more difficult then another. It’s not an easy deal to centre the world of our armed forces. They have to pass the training, theory and so many things for the selection. In my opinion, the heroes or say actors are nothing in front of these officers. SRK, Salman, Shahid… they themselves feel that the real heroes are ones who are staying far away from their homes, at the borders of the country and not having any extra comfort facilities, but still they are doing there job with the most they can do.
- They are always in a do or die situation through out their lives. Is this an easy thing?-No, its not.
- We all are well aware about the incident of 26 November 08. (Mumbai attacks). The terrorist literally captured the famous Hotel Taj at Mumbai in Maharashtra and our forces did the best to protect the innocent from the serious attack. It’s a common example that I can put before you. Thanks to them for such a great service they are doing.
They have pledged to serve the nation and to protect our country and its people from the enemy. They are the brave men and women who serve in our armed forces. We salute them! Jai Hind!

Thoughts for the day patriotism (related to defenses)
It’s better to have fought and last, Than never to have fought at all, Cowards die, many times before their deaths, the valiant never taste of death but once.
Breathes there the man, with soul so dead who never to himself has said.
This is my own my native land.

Picnicking Ideas

By Jacob Ephraim
manager, Talent Search
What you’ll need:

A nice blanket to sit on. The waterproof lined ones are just right in case the ground is a little damp.
Picnic Basket or Picnic Backpack Tasty Treats: Think rice/pasta salads that can be contained in Tupperware easily, sandwiches, fresh fruit that doesn’t squash too easily. Don’t forget drinks.
Sunscreen, insect repellent, cleansing cloths to wipe your hands.
Picnic Ideas: Backyard Picnic: If you are strapped for cash and stuck at home for the weekend, then have a backyard BAR- BE- QUE – spread a blanket on the lawn or the deck and order some pizza and grab some lemonade and other drinks for a quick and easy picnic. ADVANTAGE - LESS PLACE TO CLEAN UP
Boat Lover’s Picnic: If you have access to a boat, consider heading out for a picnic on the water – anchoring up at a lake or river on a sunny day will be gorgeous and you’ll truly feel like you’ve got away from it all with your loved one. IT'S HEAVENLY.
Starry Night Picnic: Picnics don’t have to take place during the day; a night on a blanket under the stars can be deliciously romantic. Just don’t forget to pack insect repellent and a warm jacket. ADVANTAGE- THE SKY IS YOUR ROOF.
Waterside Picnic: Head to a beach, lake, river and set up near the water where you can enjoy your picnic with a view – and cool off when the weather is hot. Don’t forget your togs. Even so, carry water with you.
Blind Date Picnic: Prepare all picnic details such as food and drinks in secret from your partner, then blindfold him, or arrange to meet him at a location for a surprise. This works well when the picnic spot has a romantic meaning for the couple. ADVANTAGE- BLIND DATES ARE SAFE.
Bed Picnic: You don’t even have to leave the house to have a picnic, set up a blanket on the bed, accompanied by music and candles and you have a recipe for indoor fun. ADVANTAGE - SAVE ELECTRICITY. There are tons of possibilities when it comes to picnics, a great picnic is one that works for both your interests and when you plan well in advance for what you need. Happy picnicking!

They conquer who believe they can

By Ankit Dabral, VII Commerce, Carmen School
"If you want to succeed, you must make your own efforts as you go".
It is but a very well said verse that tells you that you have to do your own efforts. Life is one of the most beautiful gifts given to us by god. Today we are living in a highly sophisticated and technologically advanced world wherein we receive the best possible facilities required to lead a comfortable life. But the basic fight today is not for money but for survival. But in this vast world there are merely a handful of us who dominate an arena. The finest examples of this are ‘Mr. Lakshmi Niwas Mittal’, ‘Sachin Tendulkar’, ‘Hrithik Roshan’, late ‘Michael Jackson’ and our very own Tatas, Birlas and Ambanis.
These people are not different from a common man, rather they are they are the ones who think above common man. These people have an aim in life and most importantly they believe in the theory that "if a person wants his dreams to come true, then he should wake up". We all work in our lives and compete amongst one another since competition is something which we find today in every sphere of life. But the one who ‘conquer always compete to the core’. All of us should have an ambition in life but if we want to conquer then we must not forget that ‘the great virtue in life is real courage that knows how to face facts and live beyond them’.
The best way is to devote yourself completely to the field you’ve chosen and indulge in it completely. There is an old saying ‘strike while the iron is hot’, but I believe that you should make the iron hot by striking it and not to wait till it becomes hot. Conquer may have another side that may make it sound as a tyrant rule but when you look at its positive aspect you find a glittering face of it which makes you feel your identity and makes you feel on top of the world. When you are commanding it sounds good and makes you feel you deserve every bit of it.
You should have a positive mindset as to what do you actually want to do in life. Our focus and aim should sound ravishing. The people who’ve conquered the world around them have been able to do so, since they are full of will power. And a very well said quote goes ‘when someone is telling you that you can’t do something then you shouldn’t listen to that person, since you always have the best of both worlds and its your will to choose one.
To conclude I should quote "to the stronger or faster men, but sooner or later the man who wins is the man who thinks he can".

The pain behind perfection....

By Aishwarya Sharma
CJM School

We have witnessed the unparalleled increase in our daily gross domestic product and a sudden improvement in the quality of education in the recent past. Naturally, everyone’s happy, with such a dawn of opportunities and such an improvement in the arena of schooling. But, who thinks about the aftermath of this sudden and rapid growth in every area? Who has so much of time, and energy to think about the plight of the students who are surrounded by so much of pressure, whether at school, at home, or with peers?
Well, a quick look at some statistics:
65% of India’s population consists of young people ranging from of 13 to 17 years of age.
Out of these, 89% suffer from inferiority complex and anxiety.
And out of the people suffering from anxiety and inferiority complex, 74% have gone into depression and have suicidal tendencies.
We may be happy and satisfied with growth, growth in economy, growth in the quality of education, growth in the facilities provided to students;
But what about the growth in the percentage of people suffering from emotional breakdowns, and overburdening?
The present generation thinks that the youngsters should perform better because of the increase in facilities and augmentation in the field of education since they feel that in their school days, the facilities were not worth it and even then they would be the so- called "high achievers". Then why not the younger generation who gets so many amenities and conveniences?
I wish to inform these people that the definition of "good" has changed manifold in the past years. What was considered "good" before is actually average now. My father was a high achiever in school and he has his name on the toppers list when he got 74% as aggregate. And everyone now knows the present value of 74%. Therefore, these people now want their children to perform "well" in their examination, and "well" is actually more than 90%. And anything less than 90% is worthless for these "high achievers". These high achievers also have their own plans and expectations in front of which the aspirations of the younger generations are considered as futile, and unrewarding. If the students are not able to perform in sync with their parents’ expectations, this adds to the worry of the students as well as parents.
Because of these, the students now feel antagonized, alienated, and disheartened. These negative feelings lead to many psychological problems such as inferiority complex, negative thoughts, and eventually depression.
Moreover, earlier, everything was imposed on these people by their parents without any reconsiderations or contemplations by the parents, and without any rebellions or oppositions by the children. But now, people are getting more aware and educated, so even small things have to be greatly calculated and scrutinized by the parents while the young people sometimes adamantly refuse these impositions by virtue of their own conditions. What these people are actually angry about is the suppression of their voice, and opinions, which naturally are unique, and extraordinary, therefore, this leads to many rebellions, and quarrels between parents and their children.
Another issue of concern is the comparison done by parents between peers be it regarding studies, marks, activities, etc. But this is a major cause behind inferiority complex. This also leads to low self- esteem and misunderstandings between the parents and their children. This is a major contributor to 38% of suicides committed by adolescents every year.
With a gigantic revolution in the Indian economy, many vocational career options are coming up. For example, Journalism, Mass Media, Photography, Food and Nutrition, Biotechnology, Law, Public Relations, Fine Arts, Services, Music, Acting, Filmmaking, to name a few. Yet, the parents have the impression of the very outdated and overrated career fields of Engineering, Medicine, and full stop! And many students are not allowed to make their own career choices according to their capabilities, and aspirations. The parents unknowingly shatter their dreams even before they take flight; even when they are doing this for their child’s welfare, with a good intention.
With an increase in the level of competition, the students are feeling increasingly burdened by all the premonitions that surround their minds. Admissions in colleges, the high cut- off rate in universities, increased quota for Scheduled Caste Scheduled Tribe reservations and limited seats have really reduced the opportunities for youngsters, leading to many tragic suicide cases.
Today’s youngster wants and is expected to be a complete package: good looks, good grades, good social behaviour; peer pressure is taking its toll and many of the teenagers are not satisfied with their personality despite the fact that everyone is a unique and beautiful creation of God.
Adolescents are reeling under increased partiality and politics in schools, adding to their worries. Ask any specialist, and he/she will tell you that these elements were completely absent during their times. Some of the high achievers may deny this, but I can prove the point that in some ways a modern child has a tough time coping with the incessant pressures offered to him in this rat- race madcap world in front of you. We can see it in the crowd queuing up to see the psychologists; the amount of suicides reported every year, and most importantly the desperate and perplexed visages of the students. All this bears ample testimony to the fact that the youngsters are reeling under tremendous pressures and many are succumbing to them. Its high time people learn to support and encourage us and see us winning this race against time.

Smile

A smile costs less than electricity, But gives more light.
Always smile as it is the language, Which everyone can understand?
Face your troubles with a smile, And they will soon disappear.
Smile a while, While you smile, others will smile, Life will be worthwhile,
All your troubles will vanish like bubbles, If you take your troubles with smile.

Raksha Bandhan

Raksha Bandhan is celebrated in the month of August. It is a festival of love between brother and sister. On this day brothers give gifts to their sisters after they tie a rakhi on their brother’s wrist and eat sweets. They also wear new dress on this occasion and celebrate the festival with joy and happiness. I love raksha bandhan very much. This festival is celebrated all over India and every person celebrates this festival with joy. I also celebrate this festival with happiness.

Grey Hunters

People are afraid of wolves for all sorts of reasons. Wolves are believed to be in a close contact with evil and their howl frightens us.
Wolves are very highly developed creatures. They have very good sight, smell and hearing. Would you believe a wolf can smell a deer when it is 2 km away? A wolf has 42 teeth that include four vicious fangs to tear and kill prey. The wolf has a large stomach capacity and can eat in excess of nine kilograms of food. On the other hand a wolf can go without food for two weeks or longer.
There is no need for us to fear wolves as they mean us no harm as they are grey hunters.

Enjoyable week ends….!

On Sunday everyone needs an outing after the long and tiring week. Everyone has fun on Sunday. I too always finish all my homework and other things on Saturday, so that I can have a nice time on Sunday. I sometimes also sometimes call my friends; we all play a lot and have fun. Recently I celebrated my Birth Day party on the17th of July. I enjoyed those three hours very much. I also enjoy going for picnics. My most favourite picnic spots in Dehra Dun are- Maldevta: (also known as Red Camp Stone) is situated near Ring Road. Although it is quiet far but is a nice adventurous spot. When I and my Family went there, unfortunately we went the wrong way. When we asked a horseman about the spot? We got a reply, "That sahib ji you are on the wrong way". He introduced himself that he was a worker in the camp. He told us a shortcut, but it was not approachable It was actually a dry river, which many years ago supplied water to the camp. So we had to walk for atleast 1.5 K.M. So a tip I am giving to you is that you should always be alert because it is a very small lane which we had missed out. We found that the camp is a nice spot. There is a big pond in which we could swim. There is nice sport out there named ‘Zorbing’. I know that it sounds strange but when you will read this you will know about it. In this sport, two people are send into ball which is then covered with another bigger ball. And then you are rolled round and round.
Robber’s Cave: {also known as Guchu Panni} is situated near Johri Gaon. It is a narrow cave where water is flowing beneath us. The level of water is a little bellow from are knees. I went there last Sunday. Although it was crowded there but we enjoyed there. There is nothing much out there but can be a nice picnic spot there.
