Hiya kids,

The sentiments expressed by all of you for We The Kids are really moving. As some of you have stated, the ability to express ourselves is very valuable. The earlier one learns, the better it is.
Self-articulation, as it were, is important in every interaction – be it with someone you meet just once in the street or in a shop, or with those you are going to be with all your life. It helps if one can state one’s ideas clearly. Everybody appreciates that – teachers, bosses, readers, whoever we may be addressing!
Of course, self-expression is not just in words – it is done through ideas, drawings, paintings, photographs, films, sports, academics, hobbies, et al. However, almost all these involve at one point or another, the use of words. Sportspersons, artists, dancers, musicians eventually write down their memoirs to be able to communicate to others all that they learned – to show the path they took in becoming evolved persons. One should continuously express oneself through one medium or the other when one is young. From time to time, assess what you have done – yourself and with the help of mentors. It will help you improve your technique. Once expression becomes effortless, there is no greater pleasure. And when you are grown up – what fun it will be to read what you had written years ago. Some of you may even grow up to become professional writers, and remember We The Kids as the first paper you wrote for!
Till next week, Aastha.
