Apollo 11 was launched on 16th July, 1969 at 13:32 universal time (UT) from Kennedy Space Centre. The Lunar Landing Site was Tranquillitatis (sea of tranquility) Neil Armstrong (commander), Michael Collins (command module pilot) and Edwin Aldrin (lunar module pilot) were the members of this spacecraft. The first step on moon was kept by Neil Armstrong July 21ST, 1969 at (UT). For space scientists around the world "Neil Armstrong’s giant leap" for mankind was defining event this 21st, July whole world celebrated the 40th anniversary of the moon landing. The spacecraft took off from the moon on 21st, July, 1969 at 17:54 (UT) and returned to Earth on 24th July,1969 at 16:50.
